No doubt, it is the ‘Sequel’ films that are ruling this season, in B – Town. Every other film, right from ‘Ishqiya’, to ‘Don’, is coming up with its sequel. So, as ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, that is a directorial of Anand Rai. The film, released this year, turned out to be a decent success, proving all the speculations about its failure to be wrong. The film, Starring Madhavan and Kangana Raunat, is a story about two individuals with totally opposite personalities meeting and their journey from engagement to marriage. The film turned out to attracting the audience as almost every one of us could relate to the story.

Longtime back, when asked whether Anand is interested in making a sequel of this film, the Director, refused point blank as he feels, the Sequels would spoil the essence of the originals. Even the Hero of the film, Madhavan felt that ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, ended on a happy note and it should be left like that.

But, Kangana was not ready to accept this. Finally, she managed to convince the director, Anand Rai, to make a sequel of the film. Maybe it is the character that she will be playing in the film, made her do all this. So, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, will come up with its sequel soon.

A hat off to Kangana’s convincing power. Not to forget it was because of Kangana insisting, Anand had to change the title from ‘Manu Weds Tanu’, to ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.
