BCCI in talks with other boards over IPL

As Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said that enough security can't be provided for IPL matches in the view of General Elections, the Board of Control for Cricket in India [BCCI] is in talks with other country cricketing authorities for a shift in venues. However, BCC is considering to host only league matches in overseas and wants to bring the semis, finals to the country.

BCCI is preferring South Africa would be ideal venue for the IPL as it has hosted IPL and Champions League earlier. Nevertheless, BCCI is not ruling out venues like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and UAE. A demand for hosting IPL matches in UAE nation is growing importance as more number of South East Asian reside.

BCCI and IPL Governing Council will meet up later next week to decide on the venues added a source of BCCI.
