Sourav Ganguly Out Of BCCI President's Post:- Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly is the President of BCCI is now out of BCCI. Roger Binny who is a part of the 1983 World Cup winning team for the country is now all set to take up the post of the new President of BCCI. The election for the new President would be just a formality. Sourav Ganguly wanted to continue as the President of BCCI and take up the post of ICC Chairman soon but his plans got altered. There are no new nominations filed for the post of the new President. Today is the last day for filing the nominations. Jay Shah is expected to continue as the Secretary of BCCI for the next term. There are talks that Ahmedabad has become the headquarters of the Indian cricket after BJP is ruling the nation. Most of the events are hosted at the newly constructed Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera.

After the reports surfaced that Roger Binny will replace Sourav Ganguly as the new President of BCCI. Trinamool Congress, the ruling party of West Bengal accused BJP after Sourav Ganguly did not join the national party. The party leadership said that it is the political game of BJP. The party tried to induct Sourav Ganguly into BJP before the Assembly elections in the state, told Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh. The party also said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah's son Jay Shah has been asked to continue as the Secretary of BCCI while Sourav Ganguly was sacked from his position. BJP called the allegations baseless and the party said that their party never tried to induct Sourav Ganguly into their party.
