Yahoo to stop access with Facebook and Google IDs

Yahoo will stop users to access its various online services, including Fantasy Sports and photo-sharing site Flickr, who will be signing with their Facebook and Google Ids which was introduced in the year 2011. However Yahoo has not mentioned any official date regarding this.

That means a user will now have to register for a Yahoo ID in order to use any of the Internet portal's services. Yahoo's spokeswoman said in statement that it is updating Yahoo sign-in process to provide a streamlined sign-in experience, a single account and password for all Yahoo products across devices, faster customer support and account assistance, and easier password recovery.

This is actually a move by Yahoo's CEO Marissa Mayer and the aim is to create a dedicated user base for its variety of services. Last year, Yahoo decided to reset email accounts that were not used for the past 12 months by letting new users to claim email addresses.
