Mixed bag for Facebook updates

The social networking giant is on a periodic updation and this time no better. Facebook shall be updating its timeline. The new one shall make navigating easier, claim sources. This is judged as an effort by the company to thwart the free hitch hiking by many marketing firms.

The user's name is now embedded with in the cover photo, similar to Twitter. The navigation is more user friendly and the scroll reveals a lot newer user compatible. This effort of the giant was welcome by the users who are eagerly awaiting its launch.

However another feature by the company seems to worry the users. This the Snapchat, app hat that would allow users to send 'sexts', or sexually explicit content has sparked concerns and raised fears over its misuse. Many users feel that this could make make women and children vulnerable to exploitation and provide an easy way for criminals to share child porn.

The comments followed after Facebook revealed its plans to launch an app to rival infamous sexting app Snapchat, allowing people to send images and 10 seconds of video to their friends who will be able to view the content for between one and 10 seconds, the telegraph.com.au reports.
