Smartpen to save your notes

Have you ever wanted to have your notes, the easy way without agonizingly re-typing the same notes again after you go home, on your PC for future reference as a soft copy? You are not the only person, I can safely assure you. I like most of you purchased a tablet so I could use it as a great means to write and store my notes as a soft copy without the hassles of redoing it but I couldn't be more wrong. Writing on a piece of glass (or extremely smooth plastic) is no walk in the cake.

But another innovation now makes the problem obsolete. Livescribe's Sky Smartpen is the answer to all your problems. The simple writing tool is no different than your pen except for being slightly bulkier than the regular ones. It has a minute computer under the veneer of metal that forms the pen. A storage capacity up to 8GB is also available to store your notes. However, there is another kink in the thread. You have to use the special kind of paper, the microdot paper to record your notes. The Wi-Fi enabled pen can transmit your notes wirelessly to any device you want via Evernote, the number one digital archive service.

The Pen has audio recording facilities which will come in handy when you are at a lecture allowing you to record notes and then write it when  you feel comfortable. Touching the notes where you started recording the audio will play the recorded version from that point onwards.

Along with the pen you have two caps, one extra ink cartridge, a notebook with microdot paper and a micro-USB cable to charge your pen and transfer the data. The pen for a 4GB version costs around $200 and it is currently available with all accessories at Amazon.com and Livescribe's website, Staples and Best Buy.
