HTC the leading mobile maker in the market has announced their flagship Windows 8 smartphone, HTC 8X which unlike most flagship mobiles is expected to reach the Indian hands soon after its release, this month. The HTC 8X has excellent features that would make it a delight to use with the advanced Beats Audio system and the all new Microsoft Windows 8. The mobile has also been aggressively priced at Rs 35,023 which is an attractive price for a flagship mobile.

Another Windows Mobile, the HTC 8S has also been released but its availability in the nation is not known yet.

The mobile is available in a gamut of colors to choose from. The Windows 8 live tiles are a charm to accentuate the physical feel of the phone. A tapering style of the phone makes the handset look sleek. California Blue, matte finish Black, Lime Yellow, Vivid Pink and Purple.

The most attractive feature is the front-facing camera with an ultra-wide angle (88 degrees) view to accommodate a lot in a short area with an aperture of f/2.0 for better color and sharpness which also allows 1080p video recording. Rear camera boasts of a modest 8MP camera, the usual for the high end models. The backside-illumination BSI feature allows you to capture better images in low lights. It has a 28mm lens with a f/2.0 aperture and a dedicated HTC ImageChip. A dedicated camera button allows better use of the high end camera features even when the phone is locked.

The impressive display of 8X is 4.3 inches diagonally with HD resolution Super LCD 2 for better viewing angles and color representation while the lightweight Gorilla Glass 2 with an optical lamination reduce the reflections and glare.

X-Box live and Windows Phone Store boost the usability of the phone for several apps and updates.
