iPad Mini vs Microsoft Surface

iPad Mini vs Microsoft Surface

October has not been very exciting, gadget-wise, but only yet. The last third of the month has numerous promises from the tech giants. The biggest and most anticipated one being Mircosoft’s entry into the tablets segment to deal with the losses being incurred with the advent of the tablets to the PCs.  Apple has tried to bring in its own share of anticipation with the recent invites-handout to the media for a event on Oct 23 saying it has “a little more to show the world”. The “little” here could most definitely mean the iPad Mini tablet to compete with the smaller form factor that had been one of the major competitions in the market.

Apple however has not revealed anything about the invite and the iPad Mini speculation is only a widely accepted guess. Microsoft on the other hand has revealed the product and a few specifications like the all new Windows 8 operating system and the prices, slightly lower than the new Apple iPad for the 32 GB variant.

Though the competition is not directly between Surface and iPad Mini, the launch of the devices within a few days gap is definitely going to make a difference in the IPad vs Surface battle. For now we will have to wait a little over 24 hours to see how iPad is priced for the features it is offered. Window 8 has been receiving mixed responses until today but with the official launch, tables may be turned completely.
