Facebooks revamps the look of 'Events' tab

Facebook, indubitably the most accessed social networking site on the web world, has yet again made some significant changes to the design of the site. The designers have targettet the events section this time, thus enabling its 900 million users to gain easy access to the details of the birthdays, parties and other events. With this update the events can now be viewed as a calender or as a list which would make any event on the list hard to miss.

Bob Baldwin, an engineer at Facebook said, “ the Event Calendar and List View would allow you to easily glance through all the events, birthdays and invites without having to load another page. Suggested events would appear based on your likes, friends, places you have checked in and also the apps that you use on FB.”

Facebook Hackathon was a project assigned to all the Facebook engineers who sit together mulling over several ideas and working on them to develop a prototype overnight. This revamp to 'Events' was a result of the same event.
