Dharun Ravi gets 10 days credit at prison

Indian based US student Dharun Ravi who was sentenced to 30 days imprisonment for filming the sleazing act of his gay roommate, which led the person commit suicide, will be released from New Jersey Jail next week after completing 20 days of his 30 days term in the prison.

Dharun Ravi received five days credit for behaving good at prison while he got another five days credit for working in prison thereby cutting his term to 20 days from earlier 30 days. It may be recalled that Dharun was held guilty for spying on intimate moments of his gay friend with another guy in September 2010.

It may be mentioned here that Dharun Ravi has apologized for his immature and insensitve behaviour before the judge announced quantum of punishment.
