Ratan Tata Named As PMCARES Trustee:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the efforts of the people for contributing for the PMCARES Fund. Modi chaired a meeting with the newly -nominated trustees. Tata Groups Chairman Ratan Tata is the new Trustee of the PMCARES Fund and Justice KT Thomas, former deputy Lok Sabha Speaker Kariya Munda are named as the other trustees. Based on the several initiatives, a presentation was made with the help of PMCARES Fund. The PMCARES for Children scheme was introduced and 4345 children have been supported. The Prime Minister's Office issued an official statement for the same. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also attended the PMCARES Fund meeting along with Prime Minister and the trustees.

All the trustees appreciated the role played by the PMCARES Fund and the team. Narendra Modi appreciated the people for wholeheartedly contributing for the same. PMCARES has a larger vision and will turn a helping hand when in distress or emergency situations. Narendra Modi welcomed the trustees for becoming a part of PMCARES Fund. Rs 10,900 crores of corpus fund was collected. Rs 3976 crores was disbursed that included Rs 1000 crores for the migrant welfare and Rs 1392 crores for the procurement of the vaccines. Sudha Murthey, the former Infosys Foundation Chairman along with Rajiv Mehrishi, Auditor General and ex-Comptroller and Anand Shah, the co-founder of Teach for India are named in the Advisory Board of PMCARES Fund.
