Krishna River Water Issue: KCR Fires On Centre

Krishna River Water Issue: KCR Fires On Centre:- The ongoing river water distribution issue between the Telugu states is yet to be resolved. The Centre intervened in the issue and a possible resolution is yet to be locked. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) today fired on the Centre for coming up with an anti-Telangana stand on the Krishna river water sharing. He said that Andhra Pradesh has been busy constructing unauthorized irrigation projects on Krishna river without attaining valid permissions. KCR said that the government of Telangana will divert the Godavari river from Palair to Pedda Devulapalli tank close to Nagarjuna Sagar to meet the requirements of irrigation in the state.

KCR reacted for the first time about the issue after the Jal Shakti Ministry issued a gazette notification bringing 107 irrigation projects under the river management boards on July 15th. KCR today announced that the state government will take care of the farmers in Telangana and he promised that the farmers will not face any troubles due to this Krishna river water issue with Andhra Pradesh. KCR also announced about the completion of 15 lift-irrigation schemes that are sanctioned in the next one and a half years. KCR allocated Rs 15 crores for the development of Nandikonda and Haliya.
