Police Arrest Actor Vijay Fan For Abusing Modi On Facebook:- The Madurai police have arrested Thirumurugan (19), a fan of Tamil actor Vijay, on Monday, for abusing the Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi. Thirumurugan was in a chat with a BJP functionary on 'Facebook messenger' at Srivilliputhur town in Virudhunagar district.

Based on the complaint from Marimuthu, BJP, Virudhunagar district secretary, the Srivilliputhur town police have arrested Thirumurugan, an engineering diploma holder.

According to the police, Marimuthu sent a meme through Facebook messenger, and Thirumurugan reacted to that in an abusive language. The meme relates to the controversial dialogues on GST and public health care. “Mersal”, starring actor Vijay depicted these in the movie.

The BJP functionary, offended by the reaction from Thirumurugan, produced the details of chat to the police and demanded action against him. When they conducted an inquiry with Thirumurugan, he accepted to have sent those messages, he accepted to have sent those messages, said the police officer.
