Hyderabad Records Highest Maximum Temperatures

Hyderabad sizzled at 41 degree Celsius, the highest temperature according to the Hyderabad Meteorological Center.

The maximum temperatures, at a few places in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, have already crossed the above temperature level.

The highest maximum temperature recorded in Andhra Pradesh state on Monday was 41.6 degree Celsius at Anantapur.

Whereas, Adilabad in Telangana sizzled at 41.6 degrees, while Nizamabad recorded the highest temperature of 41.2 degrees.

Hyderabad is one of the hottest places in Telangana. The city recorded three notches above the average.

The maximum temperature was above average in many places in Telangana. Mahabubnagar and Medak also crossed 40 degrees.

The Met department, also referred to as the India Meteorological Department (IMD), has warned that heat wave conditions will continue to prevail over the next five days.

The maximum temperature is likely to be two to three degrees above average, including dry weather conditions, said the Met Department.

Similarly, Andhra Pradesh, is also likely to experience the same weather conditions. Kurnool on Monday recorded maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, whereas Tirupati experienced a 37.5 degree Celsius.

The sharp rise in day temperatures, has forced the people to remain indoors, especially in the afternoon.

The Telangana and Andhra authorities have prepared an action plan to prevent deaths due to heat wave.
