Eamcet counseling faces the consequence

Hyderabad will be the prime target for those hoping to get a seat in good colleges. Students may arrive in droves from Seemandhra too in light of the ongoing protests affecting regular life in Andhra and Rayalaseema.

Protests against the Center's decision to Bifurcate Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Seemandhra have kicked up a lot of dust, obscuring daily life. Students will not have Eamcet counseling in Seemandhra, as government employees themselves are unavailable for the process.

The counseling was scheduled to start on Monday. However, Seemandhra government employees’ JAC are protesting the bifurcation with a boycott. The government may opt for web based counseling, but it is still a tricky detour.

Seemandhra has 34 counselling centres and Telangana has 22. Though the government is against postponing Eamcet counselling, Seemandhra protestors feel the students may be at a loss if the bifurcation happens.
