Delhi Government Announces a Complete Ban on Firecrackers:- The government of New Delhi announced a complete ban on the firecrackers until January 1st next year. Gopal Rai, the Environment Minister of Delhi announced that the production, sale and use of firecrackers is banned in the state for the rest of the year. The residents and people of New Delhi will not be able to celebrate Diwali this year. The ban is also imposed on the online sale of the firecrackers. "Production, storage, sale and use of all types of firecrackers are being completely banned so that people's lives can be saved," posted Gopal Rai.

The Delhi Police, Delhi Pollution Control Committee and the Revenue Department chalked out a perfect action plan and that will be implemented. Gopal Rai said that stringent action would be taken on those who violate the rules and use firecrackers. The government of Delhi ordered a complete ban on the sale and use of firecrackers in the capital last year from September 28th to January 1st this year. A campaign named 'Patakhe Nahi Diye Jalao' has been launched to create awareness against the use of firecrackers in the national capital. New Delhi has been battling with pollution issues and is one of the most polluted cities of the globe.

The government said that strict action would be taken as per the Indian Penal Code provisions and Explosive Act against those who are found making and using firecrackers.
