KCR To Postpone GHMC Polls:- Telangana is completely shattered with the recent rains in the city. The capital city Hyderabad is left flooded and several colonies are yet to recover completely and are still submerged. The normal life came to a standstill and the government is currently focused on the relief activities. Telangana Chief Minister KCR announced a relief fund of Rs 550 crores and the activities are on. The roads are completely ravaged and several properties are partly damaged. The Telangana government took this seriously and are working out on how to withstand for such situations in the coming future. The real damage because of the rains is yet to be estimated or calculated.

Telangana IT Minister KTR is visiting the affected regions personally and is distributing the funds announced by the government of Telangana. The old city is the most impacted and KTR visited the regions. As per the update coming, KCR and his cabinet decided not to conduct the GHMC polls in these situations. The elections across the limits of GHMC are expected to take place during the last week of November and the schedule is expected to be out next week. TRS government is in plans to push the polls to next year and conduct the polls after normalcy returns in the state.

The GHMC Act has been amended recently that the State Election Commission cannot conduct the elections without the approval or consultation of the Telangana government. KCR will take the final call after he consults the officials and the cabinet of the state.
