Narendra Modi Extends Lockdown Till May 3rd:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation today at 10 AM regarding the fight against coronavirus. With the lockdown of 21 days coming to an end today, Modi extended the lockdown for 19 days more. The country will be under lockdown till May 3rd said Narendra Modi in his speech. He thanked all the Indians for their efforts in following the rules imposed by the government and staying safe at home. He said that India is fighting better than many countries and he requested everyone to be safe.

Narendra Modi said that the lockdown will be super strict till April 20th and the entire country will be strictly monitored. More than 600 hospitals across the country are dedicated completely for coronavirus and the number of beds, labs, health officials have been increased. Modi requested young scientists to work on the vaccine. A proper report on the lockdown will be out tomorrow said Modi. Harsh steps will be taken till April 20th and Modi requested all the people to stay strictly at their homes. He lauded the states, their health departments and the officials for their timely efforts.

Modi said that social distancing and home isolation paid off well. Thousands of people died across the globe and the conditions in India are quite good when compared to other countries. Modi asked the people to follow the seven steps in the coming weeks:

Take special care of the senior citizens in your house.

Social distancing along with lockdown should be strictly followed. Masks should be used to prevent the spread.
