Plastic Ban to Be Implemented in Telangana:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) announced that the state will implement the ban on single-use plastic across Telangana. He ordered the officials to come up with guidelines and action plans so that the plastic ban can be implemented at the earliest in the state. Telangana state is in plans to ban the manufacture and sale of plastic and plastic products in the state. KCR is in plans to discuss it with the cabinet in the next meeting and issue the orders at the earliest.

Forests and Environment Department is looking into various issues related to the proposed ban on plastics in the State. Chief Secretary Rajeshwar Tiwari is studying how several states banned plastic products in their states. Plastic products thinner than 50 microns are very harmful for the environment. A team is working out on how to ban and the products to be banned. KCR is expected to get the detailed report in couple of weeks. Telangana Minister KTR asked the people to come up with the suggestions on the ban so that the ban can be implemented effectively.
