KTR Faults Congress Over Unemployment Benefit:- Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao found fault with opposition party leaders for promising to render allowance to unemployed youths if they (Congress) were voted to power in 2019 elections.

On Monday, KTR after an inauguration of ITI at Mandepalli said, "for the sake of votes, opposition leaders were making impossible promises. However, they have no sympathy for unemployed youths."

Referring the opposition's promise to give Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000 allowance to unemployed, the Minister said the opposition had no response to whom and how the allowance would be provided. "Whether it would be given to SSC, ITI, Intermediate, Degree, Engineering or PG holders?" he added.

Stating that people know very well about opposition who ruled the State over 50 years, he urged people not to believe the false promises.

He added saying, opposition parties were in dilemma about their winning prospects since Telangana government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had been taking measures to protect the interests of all sections of the society.

Separate Telangana agitation was started for water, funds, and employment. Irrigation projects were being taken up to provide water to one crore acres by diverting Godavari and Krishna rivers water into agricultural fields, the Minister said.

Recruitment for 1.12 lakh vacant government jobs would be continued without any break, he said and emphasized the necessity to render top priority for the private sector and invite companies to invest in the State to provide employment to a maximum number of youths. For the purpose, the government had established TS-iPass.

Likewise giving training in various self-employment programs, attempts were being made to fortify rural economy, he said.

There was scope for ITI holders to get employment in a construction related field. Local youths would as well get jobs in textile and apparel parks. Top priority was being given to weaker section in self-employment training programs, the Minister said.

Over 15,000 youths would acquire employment in Sircilla textile park. While Warangal is going to acquire a textile park, handloom parks would be established in Gadwal and Pochmpalli.

Endeavors were being made to set up food processing industries in all constituencies and agro-industries would also be established.

Besides these projects, financial assistance (Rythu Bandhu), fertilizers and insurance facility was being provided for the welfare of farmers. Double bedrooms, Aasara pensions, Kalyanalakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak and other schemes had been introduced, Rama Rao added.
