Nitish Kumar Joins Hands With BJP:- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar called it a quit and after a day, he is all set to join hands with BJP and he will take the oath as Chief Minister once again for the state. It has been revealed that Nitish Kumar would take oath as Chief Minister at 10 AM and the government would include BJP and its allies. Nitish Kumar met the Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi late on Wednesday and BJP senior leader Sushil Kumar Modi accompanied him to the Raj Bhavan. Nitish Kumar requested to stake claim to form the government for the state.

Sushil Kumar Modi will take the oath as the deputy Chief Minister of the state. Nitish Kumar revealed that 132 MLAs have been supporting him and his alliance in the report that he submitted to the governor. It was after that Nitish Kumar has been asked to form the government. Out of 132, JD(U) has 71, BJP 53, RLSP 2, LJP 2, HAM 1 and three Independents. Nitish Kumar will be taking the oath as Chief Minister for the sixth time. The JDU and BJP alliance is back to power after four years and it was JDU which walked out of NDA in July 2013 after Narendra Modi has been nominated as the head of BJP before 2014 polls.

Tejashwi Yadav along with other RJD leaders went to Raj Bhavan during late Wednesday to protest against the governor’s decision on Nitish forming the government. Hours after RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav ruled out the resignation of his son Tejashwi Yadav, Nitish Kumar called it a quit and he had the plans of teaming up with BJP after which he took a call. Out of the 243 member Bihar Assembly, Nitish Kumar has the support of 132 MLAs which is slightly more than half of the count. Tejashwi Yadav said that RJD should be given an opportunity to prove their majority on the floor.
