KCR’s Donations not from Taxpayers

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao has been busy after the state’s bifurcation and he prayed to Lord Venkateswara for the separate state before the state has been formed. To clear his debts, KCR along with his family and politicians visited Tirumala for the first time recently after turning CM. He donated ornaments worth Rs 5.5 crores to Tirumala Lord Venkateswara which created a small stir. There have been talks that KCR misused the funds.

TPM Convener MV Soundararajan released a statement that no funds have been misused from the state. He also made clear that the funds have not been taken from the tax payers fund at all. It was Common Good Fund (CGF) which has been used for this donation and it is used for many Hindu temple donations.
