Medical Student Commits Suicide In Hyderabad

According to the police a PG Medical student in Hyderabad has committed suicide by injecting excess saline at her house in Jambagh area.

A Postgraduate Student of Anesthesia Department at Osmania Medical College, the students has been identified as Shravani, who hails from Suryapet in Telangana, self-inflicted saline in her left hand last night resulting in her death, police said.

Afzalgunj Police station Inspector C Anjaiah told a news agency, “It is a case of suicide by self-injection by administering excess dose of saline.”

The inspector added that she committed suicide due to family problems and health issues, according to the initial investigation. However, no suicide note was found, he added.

According to the reports, her marriage was already fixed recently and she was no interested for that. A friend of her noticed her lying on the bed and after getting suspicious, informed police.

The police has initiated further probe and a case under section 174 CrPC has been booked in connection with the incident.
