
In a tragic incident, a carpenter died on spot after he got electric shock. According to the police, the incident took place at KPHB on Saturday. Srimanta (28) from West Bengal was a carpenter who was working at under construction apartment.
Police said, “Srimanta Maity, 28, was working as a carpenter. He came to Hyderabad nearly 10 years ago and was staying at Qutbullapur. Two years ago, he got married and has a nine-month-old son. He was working for contractor Satyanarayana, who employed him to work at an apartment complex in Bhagyanagar colony.”
KPHB sub inspector M. Saides-hwar said, “Srimanta and 10 others were working on the third floor of the building on Saturday evening. He was cutting a wooden plank with a machine. While doing that he suffered an electric shock and fell down. He was declared dead at a nearby private hospital.”
A case of suspicious death was registered under section 174 CrPCto find out the root cause.
Now a days it has become very common, where people died due to building collapse or any accident in under construction working site in in Hyderabad.
Last week three migrant labourers died and four others were injuried when an under-construction arch of a gated community collapsed at Kukatpally. Such cases have been reported from across the city over the past two weeks.
