Amaravati before 2019, to remain as a dream?

Be it cash for vote, phone conversation, no hike in salaries, lack of employment opportunities or any other problem, the AP government faced severe criticisms from the public, after the formation of the government in 2014.

Even it is not able to stress the Centre about the special status and oppositions counters on government about the issue, are influencing the public. At this stage, the only option to prove the efficiency of the government is construction of Amaravati.

If at least the first phase is constructed before the elections, as the project is very big, people will have the confidence in the government that, it would complete the project soon and thus, might re-elect too.

Even Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, is keen on completing the first phase of Amaravathi, before the 2019 elections. But in the present conditions, it seems that, there is no such possibility of completing the first phase.

On the occasion of Amaravathi stone laying ceremony, Naidu himself said that, Amaravati will be constructed by 2018. Even after analyzing the pros and cons, people believed it to be true.

A few opine that, even though, Naidu decides to compete any part of Amaravati by the next elections, it would only be left as a scrap, as the time is very less. So that would again be a curse on the part of the government. So, there is no other way, other than going in a step by step process, for constructing the Amaravati capital.

Moreover, AP people expected that, at Amaravati ceremony Prime Minister Narendra Modi would make any positive announcement about the special status or special package. But he maintained mum on the issue, postponing the issue to the future again.

Incidents in Amaravati ceremony are weapons to YSRCP

Meanwhile, all the situations took place in the Amaravati stone ceremony, are turning as weapons to the opposition party YSRCP. Where the people are already in the negative opinion about the state and central governments after Amaravati ceremony, YSRCP is boosting them, with their identical protests, against the governments.

It is to be seen whether the state government tries to counter the oppositions, or stay mum, to be on the safe side.
