Telangana Budget Highlights

The first full budget of the newly formed state Telangana state has been introduced today and the Finance Minister Etela Rajendar has submitted the budget in the Assembly in the presence of his fellow MLAs. The 2015-16 budget of Telangana is said to be Rs 1,15,689 crores and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has been allotted Rs 526 crores for its development as the GHMC Elections are nearing. Also Rs 1600 crores have been allocated for the construction flyovers in the city. The Panchayat Raj has been allotted Rs 2421 crores and Rajendrar revealed that this budget has a prominent place for the complete state development.

He also said that the Telangana government has spent Rs 100 crores for the development of temples in the state and Rs 100 crores more will be spent soon. The electricity department will be given Rs 7400 crores and Telangana state will have excess electricity by the end of 2018 revealed Finance minister. A part of Rs 2421 crores have been allotted for the development of roads and highways in Telangana. The Finance Minister Etela Rajendar thanked Chief Minister KCR for giving him the opportunity as the first Finance minister of the newly formed state and he also revealed that the budget has been planned to impress everyone.
