All eyes on Congress!

With the Polavaram bill getting approved in Lok Sabha, all eyes are now on the Congress party which has more strength in the Rajya Sabha. Polavaram bill will be tabled in Rajya Sabha this week and Congress party which maintained a neutral stand on the bill in Lok Sabha, don't have chance to escape in the Upper House.

BJP has 50 MPs representing the Rajya Sabha while Congress has 68 members and in addition to this they have 10 MPs who were nominated by the party.  Recently former PCC Chief D Srinivas met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and held discussions regarding the Polavaram. However it is heard that Sonia is in favor of Polavaram construction and so the talks weren't fruitful. To escape from the issue anyhow, the Telangana Congress leaders and MPs are now forcing for change in design of the dam. Well not only on the Congress party, Telugu Desam Telangana MPs Devender Goud, Gundu Sudharani and Mohan Rao are also under severe pressure in the Polavaram Bill.

The TRS party is closely observing all the strategies of BJP, Congress and TDP on the Polvaram bill while the YSRCP has openly supported it. TRS party is getting ready for massive attack on all the three parties, if the bill gets a nod even in the Rajya Sabha too.
