Speaker To Study Precedents On Bifurcation

The Speaker Nadendla Manohar is to study the procedure that was followed by other States while the states were bifurcated.

The Speaker accompanied by the Legislature Secretary S.Raja Sadaram went to Lucknow the capital of Utter Pradesh on Wednesday to meet senior leaders there. It will give an understanding as the Speaker believes to conduct the process of taking the bill forward for discussion in respect of the time allotment to the parties and the procedure to follow in conducting the voting on the points in the AP State Reorganization Bill 2013 sent by the President to Assembly.

As nobody is clear about the legal procedure everyone is talking as it is convenient to their party’s policy.

Nadendla Manohar said, “The Bill referred to the House had only administrative processes. We are in the process of collecting details related to legislative processes, including how parties are involved in the debate.”

After discussing at Lucknow, the procedure followed by Bihar also will be discussed at Patna. As there is no precedent in Andhra Pradesh, the Speaker wanted to have an understanding how it went on in other states so that it can followed in our state as a guideline.
