Core Committee met at sharp 4.00 pm as scheduled with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Vice President Rahul Gandhi, A.K.Antony, Digvijay Singh, Ahmed Patel, Gulam Nabi Azad and Sushil Kumar Shinde.at Prime Minister's residence.

The three congress leaders of the State, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Dy.Chief Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha and PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana attended the core committee on their invitation with respective road maps for division of the State.

Student leaders of Telangana JAC and United Andhra JAC who were staging protests in front of the Prime Minsiter's residence were arrested and taken away from there.

There is lot of suspense among the leaders of Andhra region about the result in the discussions.  Many leaders and others related to the politics of both sides for and against the division of the State thronged Delhi and as such AP Bhawan at Delhi is under heavy security.
