The Telangana or rather can be called Andhra Pradesh bifurcation issue has been rocking the Parliament sessions from December and now the process for creation of new state has reached the final stage and all eyes are on Parliament. Leaders of Telangana and Seemandhra from all parties are in Delhi and fight for and against Telangana approval.
While the Congress is facing the heat of Seemandhra MPs protesting over the bifurcation, Bharatiya Janata Party is making confusing statements whether to support Telangana bill if tabled in Parliament. Venkaiah Naidu the senior most leader of BJP has said after going through the bill thoroughly, BJP will support Telangana bill and any issue it would backed out of the support.
As Congress president Sonia Gandhi is very firm on Telangana creation, prominent leaders of Congress have stepped in to get the support of main opposition BJP on the bill. With President of India approving the bill, it is likely to be placed in Rajya Sabha tomorrow. Parliamentary Affairs minister Kamal Nath has already held discussions with Rajya Sabha floor leader of BJP Arun Jaitley while Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will be throwing a dinner to top priority leaders on Wednesday.
Then to tackle the protest of Seemandhra Congress and TDP MPs in the both the houses, Congress is likely to suspend them from the house to have a smooth passage of the bill. Congress insiders also gave clear indications regarding the suspension of members to the Speaker and so Meira Kumar has held her nerve till today. In Rajya Sabha Seemandhra MPs created ruckus today pulling the mike and throwing the papers at the Speaker but still they weren't suspended so as they are waiting for the right time. While the central minister of Seemandhra may not raise voice but may not vote in favor of Telangana or may surprise everyone following high command guidelines.
These developments clearly show the Congress and BJP may joins for the creation of Telangana and even CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has information of the two parties mutual understanding. The coming days of Parliament sessions are going to be very crucial as after Telangana Bill the budget vote on account sessions will be held and days after this the Election Commission will announce the elections schedule.
