Andhra scholars want trifurcation

Minister Geeta Reddy has urged all the political parties in Andhra Pradesh to take a decision in favour of Telangana at the all party meeting, which is going to be held on December 28. She has expressed her hope that this all party meeting should become the final meeting for discussing Telangana issue. Meanwhile, Andhra scholars today met PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana. They have urged PCC chief to put forth a demand of trifurcating the state-Andhra, Telangana, Rayalaseema-in the all party meeting.

On the other hand, Andhra Prayojana Parirakshana Samithi (a voluntary body to safe guard the interests of Andhra region) held a press meet at Somajiguda in Hyderabad. The members of this body told the media that there would be no use of samaikyavadam (the demand to keep Andhra Pradesh in tact) as it doesn't talk on the development. They even said that they would not object if the state is divided. On the whole, it looks like all associations in Andhra region too are exerting pressure on the public representatives to take a decision in favour of bifurcation of the state. One has to wait and watch as to what political parties would spell out at the all party meet.
