The state's epitome of technical education was in the media glare for the wrong reasons. As per a complaint, students are being supplied answer sheets to their homes which are later submitted at the examination centres, duly filled of course.

The scam unearthed in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kukatpally, Hyderabad seems to have the involvement of nearly ten engineering colleges in its purview. The enforcement squad after checking the realities have taken into control two people who are king pins in the racket. They were Balu Mahendra and Jairam Reddy.

According to sources, another fifteen have been shortlisted as accused in the scam. The modus operandi of the gang was to collect Rs 15,000 from each candidiate and supply answer sheets along with the question papers. The candidates could conveniently fill the sheets at their homes and carefully submit them the next day at the examination halls.
