25 persons were injured, some of them seriously, when a tractor lost control and turned upside down in East Godavari district today.

The tractor and its trailer turned turtle at a crossing near Mutyalamma Ravi Chettu on the ADB road in Samarlakota Mandalam of the district. All the injured were travelling in the tractor trailer when the accident occurred.

Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve on the main road. All the injured were admitted to nearby hospitals and the condition of two of them is stated to be serious.
