Showing no signs of repentance for the desecration and destruction of the statues of the most revered Telugu legendary personalities on Tank Bund on Thursday by the anarchic T elements during the Million March, Telangana JAC chairman Professor Kodanda ram said today that the government should take full responsibility for the incidents on Tank Bund.
Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad, Kodanda Ram said that they have asked police to show them an alternate place for conducting their Million March but the police refused to oblige their request saying the Million March had no permission first of all.
Government is trying to suppress the Telangana agitation and false cases are being foisted on the JAC leaders, Kodanda Ram said. “The attack on congress leaders Madhu Yaskhi and Keshava rao is not correct and the attack should not have taken place,” he said expressing regrets for the attack.
Reiterating that the agitation will continue despite the arrests and filing of cases, Kodanda ram said rallies will be held across Telangana on Monday in protest against the arrests of leaders and activists.
Commenting on the assembly sessions, he described the assembly as a dead utility as the sessions are being held with out even a single Telangana MLA.
