T lawyers burn Jaipal effigy

Expressing anger at the reported remarks of Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy that there are no possibilities of the Telangana Bill being introduced in the Parliament, the Telangana Lawyers’ JAC has today burnt his effigy in Hyderabad.

The JAC demanded Jaipal Reddy to tender an apology to the people of Telangana over his remarks. “He has been running after posts and he is not at all concerned about Telangana,” charged the JAC leaders.

The lawyers also tried to lay a siege to the Gandhi Bhavan raising slogans against Jaipal Reddy but they were forcibly sent away by police.

Meanwhile, the political JAC convener Prof. Kodanda Ram said in Manchiryal that the Centre has been in a deep slumber on the issue of Telangana. Addressing JAC activists, he said the JAC will soon chalk out its action plan to concretize the Telangana agitation.

“We will re-launch our agitation in April with a renewed vigour to wake up the Centre from its deep slumber,” he said sarcastically. (JUBS)
