33rd day of Sakala Janula Samme Kavitha KTR arrested Railways have cancelled 124 trains in Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh from Oct 15 to 17 in view of the three-day "rail blockade" called by Telangana Joint Action Committee to press the demand for a separate state. The cancelled trains include 48 express and 76 passenger trains. Most MMTS (Multi-Modal Transport System) or local trains in the twin cities shall be operated.

The government has arrested a few leaders of the Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) as a precaution to avoid problems, in view of the rail roko. At Moulali the Telangana Jagruthi President Kavitha Rao, daughter of Sri K.Chandra Sekhar Rao, was arrested, when she was sitting on the tracks as a part of the ongoing protest, along with a few more activists. In Hyderabad the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader K Taraka Ramarao was arrested when he was in a house at Seethaphal Mandi. Tension gripped the entire place and police are taking the situation under control. Most leaders of the T-JAC have condemned the precautionary arrests of the leaders.
