Amicable solution to T in Nov: Lagadapati

RajagopalVijayawada congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal said today that the congress is likely to announce a solution to the nagging Telangana issue in November. “I have confidence that the solution would be acceptable to all,” he told a Telugu TV channel in Delhi.

He said that people are gradually forgetting the Telangana issue and seemingly preferring development. “Over and above all these things, the Centre will announce its decision on Telangana after obtaining the consensus of all concerned political parties,” he stressed.

Rajagopal charged the TRS leadership of trying to sell party tickets in the elections and said that is the only reason why they are targeting the congress leaders. “The TRS plan is very clear. It is pressurizing the congress leaders to quit so that it can sell the tickets for monetary considerations and also win the seats in the name of the Telangana agitation,” he said.

Referring to the Banswada by election result, Rajagopal said that the congress candidate got 30 per cent of the votes with out the party leadership putting any effort in the campaign. “If we had really worked, our party candidate could have got more than 40 per cent of the votes,” he said.
