Robert Vadra clean, Kejriwal not surprised

The Haryana's Deputy Commissioners have confirmed that there were no irregularities in the land deals of Robert Vadra, the son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi, the Congress President. Four Deputy Commissioners were assigned the task of probing the land deals of Robert Vadra after the IAS Officer Ashok Khemka made an order in his power on October 12.

India Against Corruption Activist Arvind Kejriwal however was not amused or surprised either. He said it was not unexpected at all. In his tweet that read, "Haryana officers give clean chit to Vadra. That was expected. Country wud be surprised if it were otherwise (sic)", he said that there was a collusion between congress and BJP.

"Now Congress will protect Gadkari and BJP will protect Vadra. Congress, BJP bhai bhai," he added in his tweet. He vehemently denied the outcome of the probe saying, "Under IT Act - you can raid (sec 132) or survey (sec 133A) or scrutinise (sec 143) - what is the government doing?"

Ashok Khemka had an equally bitter experience too. In a tell-all letter to the Haryana Chief Minister, he wrote about the dubitable land deals. He also canceled the mutation of the sale deed between Vadra's company Sky Light Hospitality and DLF over a 3.5 acre plot in Gurgaon district before leaving the office on October 15 due to his transfer as the DG, Haryana Seed Development Corporation on October 11, which came only three days after the probe was initiated. The land deal reportedly had signatures by an unauthorised Haryana official, it said.
