Oops.... wrong number

Oops.... wrong number

To the shame of Floridan governor Rick Scott, by accident he had passed on a sex hotline number instead of the information center number for the fungal meningitis which had been epidemic for the past few days.

In a meeting of the cabinet whilst providing a hotline number for the information on the meningitis, he made a mistake while announcing the number and the wrong number had connected the lines to an adult telephone line.

A radio station was quick to spot out the mistake in Tampa, WUSF which had notified the governor's office immediately.

The station said it was "quickly notified by a reader that the number instead connected to an adult telephone line."

On calling the number initially provided by the website, a recorded message played, "Hello boys, thank you for calling me on my anniversary."

Scott's spokeswoman Jackie Schutz said the governor inadvertently misread the number. He also corrected his number soon after he was notified.

Scott had messed up the original Florida Fungal Meningitis Hotline which was supposed to be 866-523-7339.

Fungal meningitis  had become an epidemic in USA with over 138 victims already and 12 deaths according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Wednesday.
