Ceasefire violations continue to threat Jammu border

A Pakistani Ranger was killed after the Indian Border Security Force, BSF had shot him dead for crossing the border into India. After this incident, both the sides had started heavy firing. The firing is still in progress.

Reports stated that the intruder into India was killed after he tried to enter the Akhnoor Sector's Sidharvan post in Jammu. BSF had not shown mercy and killed him after his attempts which had led to a continuous gunfire on both the sides.

Ceasefire violations have been a common occurrence this month, with over three incidents in the month already. They happened frequently at the International Border, IB and the Line of Control, LoC. This tense events follow the discovery of Pakistan's tunnels into the nation at 25 feet depth and 400 m long at Samba, Jammu, which they could have used to transport men in large numbers along with ammunition to infiltrate India.
