North East students flood Assam

Several hundreds of North-east citizens had reached Guwahati today in the morning after thay have traveled from several major cities of the nation like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune.

Guwahati had several people crowding on the platform, hotel boys, office boys, security guards who were all unsure when they could resume working with their employers.

One Assamese person said that he belonged to Bangalore after staying there for 9 months. He was reluctant to leave the city no matter what. He also said that he had the right to be in any part of the country and condemned the incidents happening now in the country.

Though the police are making efforts to restrain the North East students from moving back to their hometows, mostly from Assam, by saying that the threats were merely rumors and none of them is real,   a few of the fleeing people had said that they they had experienced the threats and that they were very real. They added that they were also asked to leave the city in person and not via rumored bulk SMS. They also woed that the police were not helping them as they should have been.

"When it calms down, we will have to go back. Don't know how long we will stay here because we have to think of the future," one of the people who returned to Assam said.

The number of people who were fleeing to their hometowns in the North East had reduced significantly today with the repeated assurances from the CHief Minister, and the Prime Minister themselves. Bulk SMS and MMS have also been banned in an effort to restore integrity in the nation for 15 days.
