ATC officials asked Jet Airways flight from Mumbai to Riyadh to return to bay minutes before take-off after ATC observed smoke in one of the engines of the flight. The reports indicate that minor fire broke out in the engine of Jet Airways flight.
The passengers were soon evacuated and the special team that was pressed into the action doused off the fire. The sources said that there were nearly 115 passengers aboard. Since all of them were evacuated timely, everyone was said to be safe. So far there’s no information as to what caused fire to broke out although an investigation was launched to ascertain the reasons behind the same. (Phani)
