K’taka minister in forgery case, resigns

The Karnataka minister for IT and housing, Mr Katta Subramanyam Naidu today quit his post following the Karnataka minister, Katta Subramanyam Naidu, forgery case, Lokayuktalodging of an FIR yesterday by the Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde against him, his son, his wife and 8 others for forgery in a case relating to the fraudulent selling of lands owned by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board ( KIADB).

Soon after the FIR was lodged, chief minister BS Yeddyurappa called him and advised him to resign from the minister’s post. Mr Naidu this morning sent his resignation letter to the chief minister who forwarded it to the Governor HR Bharadwaj for acceptance.
