Rajani raising relief fund for Japanese victims

RajinikanthSouthern super star Rajanikanth, who has a large base of fan-following in the quake and tsunami- hit Japan, has decided to raise a relief fund to help the hapless victims in the natural calamity crippled country.

Rajanikanth has already formed a team for this purpose and contributions are pouring in. The contributors included actors Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, Vijay, Surya and several other heroes and actors. On his part, Rajanikanth has reportedly donated a huge amount for the cause.

Rajanikanth, known as a man of golden heart, is personally taking interest in collecting the fund and himself making calls to his fraternity seeking contributions for the fund. The fans of the superstar are also coming forward to donate the amount.

Since 1995, Rajanikanth’ movies are being dubbed into the Japanese language and the actor has developed a big rapport with the hard working Japanese people through his films. His first film to be dubbed was ‘Muthu’ which was renamed as ‘The Dancing Maharaja’ in the Japanese language.

Rajanikanth and his team will shortly travel to Tokyo to hand over the fund to the families and victims of the earthquake and tsunami.
