Two of the directors who stand out of the crowd amongst all the directors of Indian Cinema are Mani Ratnam and Shankar. Their style of film making and the kind of stories they pen up are really an asset to Indian cinema. While Mani Ratnam concentrates on making films highlighting various human emotions, Shankar's favorite has been those issues that stand out to be a question mark for the society. But both these directors have been failing to impress the audience, off late.
While Shankar is teaming up with his another entertainer, this time concentrating on the emotion of love with 'I', starring Vikram, Mani Ratnam is still in the search of the storyline to impress the audience.
Last two releases of Mani Ratnam, be it 'Ravan' and the latest 'Kadali', bombed at the box office, shattering the expectations of one and all. Now, the director has to really work and spin his magic on whatever film he will be making next, for his existence in the Industry. Will Mani succeed this time at least?
