Mani Ratnam Busy With His Next:- Veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam is a trademark in Indian cinema. He directed many classics however he failed to repeat the magic in his recent outings. He even went to Bollywood from South and scored massive hits. He has immense fan base across the country however his recent outings have been restricted to Telugu and Tamil languages. Though OK Kanmani was a moderate success, his recent outing Cheliya turned out to be a massive debacle. Mani Ratnam has been widely criticized for his work in the film. It is then the ace director decided to concentrate more on his next not repeating his past mistakes.

There were talks that Ram Charan is in talks for Mani Ratnam's next film however after the release of Cheliya things changed completely. With the film performing poor, Charan is showing no interest to work with him and Mani Ratnam too has been recently informed about this.

The latest update is that Mani Ratnam is currently busy penning an interesting script which has been locked recently. Though the lead actors are yet to be locked, Mani Ratnam is busy finalizing the technicians currently. Mani Ratnam revealed that two young actors will play the lead roles and he is yet to meet the actors who are being considered. Two young Tamil actors may essay the lead roles in the movie.  Santhosh Sivan has been roped in as cinematographer for the film and AR Rahman will compose the music. Mani Ratnam is said narrate the concept to couple of actors he is considering. His own production Madras Talkies will bankroll the project which is expected to start from November this year. The film will have its release during the second half of 2018. Mani Ratnam is in plans to bounce back with his next.
