India denied victory in final ODI

The India cricket team is in pathetic form and once gain lost to New Zealand in the final ODI of the bilateral series by 87 runs. With this loss, India did not register even single win in the ODIs played in two overseas tours. Dhoni won the toss and elected to field first. Though openers were removed early, Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor again played brilliantly. Williamson scored his fifth consecutive fifty and Taylor made second successive hundred of the series.  Indian bowlers seems to have forgotten learning from mistakes and all the bowlers were very expensive in economy rate. New Zealand posted a total of 303 runs at the end of 50 overs.

Chasing the big target, India never looked in the game. Openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are still struggling to score runs and reached pavilion without troubling the scoreboard. Virat Kohli batted well and scored fifty. Just when Kohli was looking score fast, McCullum removed him. Dhoni scored 47 and Rayudu was out for 20. The rest of the Indian batsman failed to score even two digits.

Kane Williamson was awarded Man of the Series

Score details: NZ: 303/4, Ross Taylor 102, Kane Williamson 88, Varun Aaron 2/60, Kohli 1/36, India: 216 allout Virat Kohli 82, Dhoni 47, Matt Henry 4/38, Kyle Mills 2/35
