The mighty match between the titans, Australia and India will begin in a few hours. The super Eight stage is all set to unleash unexpected endings in the T20 carnival. Yesterday the first set of matches were played in the Group one. In the first encounter in Colombo, Sri Lanka beats New Zealand the match shall go down the history. The tough encounter saw both teams score 174 runs in the stipulated overs and the result was a tie. But the umpires called in for a super over in which Sri Lanka scored 13 runs after losing one wicket and Lasith Malinga  restricted the visitors to a mere 8 runs after the loss of a wicket. Great the match was won by the home team. T Dilshan who scored 76 runs was declared the Man of the match.

The second clash was between England vs West Indies in Colombo. And the Caribbeans cleanly whitewashed their English rivals. The WI team which scored 179 runs in the first half, restricted the opponents to a mere 164 runs and thereby claimimg a 15-run victory. Johnson Charles 84 run knock favored the Carriebeans and he was the  Man of the match, as well.

Today we have the mighty encounters on the anvil in Group two. It is Pakistan vs South Africa followed by Australia Vs India. The first match is supposedly the toughest of the two as the two teams are in fierce forms. On the other hand though there is advantage for the Indian team in the second encounter, the psychological fear against Australia is at its peak. If Indians could shred this extra baggage then we are sure to have a peaceful sleep tonight.
