Tendulkar will hit the nets at Lord s this weekSachin Tendulkar will hit the nets at Lord's this week to prepare for the upcoming series against England.

Sources informed that the Little Master, who has been mixing business with pleasure in London since the last one month, will also be accompanied by his son Arjun for the training sessions.

"Yes, he is all set and as always eager to begin in right earnest for the series against England," a former teammate and now a close friend of Tendulkar informed.

Tendulkar, who made his by now customary presence at Wimbledon last weekend, has been carrying around his cricket gear with him, but has asked the official apparel suppliers to have his flannels delivered overseas well in time.

"He doesn't like to wear brand new cricket clothes and had specifically asked for them to be washed a few times and ironed before being couriered," added the source.

Tendulkar, who skipped the West Indies tour, will be aiming for his 100th international century when India take on England at Lord's in the first Test of the series from July 21. The Test will be also the 100th between the two sides, and the 2000th in the history of the game.

Meanwhile agency reports from London said that Tendulkar has been visiting the MCC cricket academy to coach his 11-year-old son and has been passing on tips to others using the indoor nets. "He (Tendulkar) has been a regular visitor at the Lord's in recent weeks," an MCC spokesman was quoted as saying in Sunday Telegraph.

And when he is not coaching little Arjun, he is devoting time to his new business venture in Winchester. It's about cricket-themed entertainment centres where fans will be able to bat against an image of Tendulkar (or other, better international bowlers) that deals with your delivery after calculating its trajectory and rotation.
