Love makes your day healthy: study revealed

1. Feel good factor

Making love boosts happiness more than anything else, a new research has found.

The “Mappiness” project, which was run by researcher George MacKerron in conjunction with the London School of Economics, asked more than 45,000 smartphone users to record their activity, location and happiness up to five times a day via a special application.

The best ways to be happy were:
Making love – 12.9 percent
Sport, exercise – 6.5 percent
Theatre, concert – 6.5 percent
Singing, performing – 5.9
Exhibition, library – 5.6

2. Better fertility

Having Romance every day improves sperm quality in men. In a study of men with fertility problems, researchers found that daily ejaculation for a week cut the amount of DNA damage seen in sperm samples.

3. Good for health

“Having Romance regularly can do more than make you feel closer to your partner — it can actually make you physically healthier,” a major news channel quoted Dr. Hilda Hutcherson, a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia University as saying. That is because endorphins and oxytocin are released during Romance, and these feel-good hormones trigger pleasure centres in the brain that create feelings of intimacy and relaxation and help stave off anxiety and depression.

4. Live longer

Dr Eric Braverman, an anti-ageing expert from the US, has written a new book 'Younger You,' in which he says that romance not only raises your hormone levels (so keeping you young), but can also boost your metabolism, brain function, heart health and immunity.

5. An orgasm a day

Orgasms are thought to fight infection - increasing the number of infection-fighting cells by up to 20 per cent.

6. Best medicine for older men

A recent study also found that greater love activity in older men might protect them against prostate cancer.

7. Get busy between the sheets on a Thursday!

Natural cortisol energy levels, which stimulate hormones, are at their peak on this day. Set your alarm clock and get some early morning loving, which is when levels of the hormones testosterone in men and oestrogen in women are up to five times higher.

8. First thing in the morning!

Making love at 7:30 am is apparently one of the best ways, which can make your day healthy, a new study has revealed

At 7:30 am, the body produces a surge in hormones and a rush of adrenalin to get a person going in the morning.

9. Better focus

We often find ourselves drifting away while at work or studying but experts have said that it's bad for health - and now the best way to avoid daydreaming is to make love, it seems. During only one activity - making love - did the frequency of mind-wandering drop below 30 per cent.
